Professional Background:  Burt Hering retired from Amoco Corporation in 1995 after a 28 year career.   In his last position, Burt was Vice President, Engineering and Construction for Amoco Power Resources.  Burt holds a BChE degree from New York University and M.Eng. and D.Eng. degrees from Yale University.  Burt has lived in Houston since 1986.

ESCH Experience:  Burt joined ESCH in 2000. He presently serves on the ESCH Board of Trustees and Executive Committee and chairs the Project Coordination Group. Burt was instrumental in setting up the ESCH consultant training program and served as the first chairman of the Training Committee. Burt continues to do consulting and has worked with among others:

According to Burt, working at ESCH has been personally very rewarding and challenging and has created an opportunity to have a positive impact on the non-profit community in the greater Houston area.
