ESCH: BRINGING BUSINESS SOLUTIONS TO NONPROFITS
Our mission: to promote best management practices within the nonprofit sector. Our vision: to be the nonprofit sector’s consultants.
The Executive Service Corps of Houston delivers unique value to our community. Experienced men and women from responsible positions in business enter the "give-back" phase of their careers, volunteering time, energy, and experience to strengthen nonprofits. They provide much needed educational seminars and pro bono management consulting services that help nonprofits run better through ‘best practices’ management and performance coaching. ESCH consultants work in key areas such as: education, the environment, health and human services, public policy, arts and humanities, civic and community programs, and the needs of minorities and women. We provided management seminars and one-on-one consulting services to 384 clients last year. We made Houston a better place to live, to work, and raise families.
The Executive Service Corps of Houston (ESCH) has worked successfully with a variety of nonprofit and governmental agencies, such as: cultural organizations, hospitals, social service agencies, libraries, school, youth programs, schools, women's centers, and others to help them meet their promise of continued excellence and growth for the future. We understand that every individual client has very distinct institutional needs at different times in its development.
The Executive Service Corps tailors its seminars and consulting services to meet the current needs that are important to your organization.
THE ESCH STORY: The Executive Service Corps of Houston (ESCH) is patterned after the International Executive Service Corps founded in 1964 by David Rockefeller of Chase Bank; Sol Linowitz, CEO of Xerox; Frank Pace, former Secretary of the Army and the CEO of General Dynamics; and President Lyndon Johnson. ESCH is an independent organization and one of thirty-three affiliate offices nationwide—each functioning as a completely autonomous and independent nonprofit organization with its own board of directors, members, budget and staff. ESCH participates in ESC's national affiliates group - ESCAN. ESCH carries on the tradition of executives and professionals helping to strengthen the fabric of society.
